Searching for René Mouchotte
A six year search taking me from Kent to Belgium to Paris and a Tomb in Pére Lachaise Cemetery in which I left a letter. This led to a meeting with his 101 year old sister and the adventure began. Commandant Squadron Leader René Mouchotte died in 1943. I researched, scripted and presented a documentary about this honourable, courageous and dedicated Frenchman the first to command a British Squadron. You will find roads named after him in Paris - the most famous being adjacent to the Gare Montparnasse.
